On January 11, 2007, Honorable Irwin Cotler, Member of the Canadian Parliament and former Attornery General of Canada, spoke during our annual McLean Lecture on World Law. The program was co-sponsored by Global Solutions Education Fund and The Center for International Legal Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Entitled, “Hate, Genocide, and Human Rights,” Cotler called upon the global community to stop and prevent genocide through international institutions like the International Criminal Court. He believes in a world where the international community is held accountable when they fail to protect the most vulnerable people in any society.Join us as he discusses how international organizations and states can implement the "Responsibility to Protect." |
